This design came from measuring a customer’s broken rudder.
The replacement is both lighter and stronger than the original.
Sirius Sirius 28 Rudder
We built the first one of these by fabricating a new rudder that re-used the customer’s current rudder post. He dropped the waterlogged original rudder off for us to measure then extract the post – it weighed a whacking great 55 pounds. Our replacement was much lighter and stronger.
